Keep Your Home Up to Code With Electrical Wires Inspections in Apex, NC

Whether you’re preparing to buy a new home, getting ready to place your house on the market, or concerned about the safety of your house, it’s crucial to have an electrical wires inspection completed by an electrician. It’s all too common for homes to have electrical wires that are not up to code due to old age, outdated material, or damage. Faulty wiring is a safety hazard and should be addressed by professionals right away.

Because it can be challenging to know if your electrical wiring is up to code, you need to schedule routine electrical inspections. There are three types of electrical inspections our team can perform:

  • Rough-In Electrical Inspections: With this type of inspection, your electrician will examine the wires, conduits, and electrical panels and boxes throughout your home before the wall is closed up or insulation is installed after the wiring and installation process. During this stage, our professionals will ensure the wires are intact, and the conduits and electrical panels do not pose fire hazards.
  • Service Inspection: When we perform this type of inspection, we will examine the electrical panel to ensure it is installed and fastened properly. We will also make sure it is grounded correctly.
  • Final Inspection: Once all electrical components are installed, we’ll perform several tests to ensure the entire electrical system operates safely and effectively.

Protect Your Electronics With Electrical Outlet Inspections in Apex, NC

What do your microwave, television, and hair dryer all have in common? They rely on electrical outlets to function! Imagine waking up one morning to dead outlets in your bathroom. The simple task of blow drying your hair becomes a 30-minute hassle. Or imagine coming home after a long day at work to a television that will not turn on because the circuit breaker keeps tripping. Instead of throwing the remote in frustration, schedule routine electrical outlet inspections.

Our team can help you avoid common electrical outlet failures by detecting issues before they become major inconveniences — or even safety hazards. Keep your daily routines on track and your family safe by scheduling electrical outlets and switches inspections.

How do you know if you need an electrical outlet inspection? Watch out for these warning signs of outlet issues:

  • Your electrical outlets are warm to the touch: If you use the wrong extension cords in your home, you could cause your outlets to overheat and even ignite a fire. If you don’t have enough electrical outlets to meet your home’s needs, it’s best to put away the extension cords and have a licensed electrician install more outlets.
  • Your circuit breaker trips frequently: Occasionally blowing a circuit is common. However, constant failures are cause for concern. A tripped circuit breaker could be caused by a circuit overload, a short circuit, or a ground fault. In either case, you should hire an electrician to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
  • Your outlets are dead: Much like anything else in life, outlets will eventually stop working. Because replacing outlets involves messing with electrical wires, it’s best to leave this dangerous work to a licensed professional. Our team can efficiently and effectively repair or replace your outlet.
  • Your outlets are burnt or sparking: If you notice either of these signs, get in touch with an electrician immediately. You may have a serious electrical problem on your hands that needs to be addressed carefully and swiftly. Our electrical safety inspections in Apex, NC, can get to the root of the problem.

Why Should I Get a Home Safety Inspection?

Electrical safety inspections in your Apex, NC, home guarantee that you will not have to worry about an unfortunate electrical accident happening.

Your home is supposed to be your protection from all things dangerous. With wiring, switches, and outlets being a potential hazardous concern for you and your family, having a certified electrician examine the safety of your home could save you from having electrical accidents. Besides making sure your home is safe, there are various other reasons behind having your home inspected, including:

  • Avoid Costly Repairs — By having your electrical system inspected routinely, you have a better chance of catching minor issues before they become extensive problems that require a great deal of cash.
  • Keep Your Electrical System Efficient — With time, the wiring will deteriorate, and your electrical demands could become greater than your home’s electrical capacity. When this happens, your electrical system begins operating inefficiently, and you may notice a spike in your utility bills. Having your system inspected can catch these issues early and prevent your budget from being squeezed.
  • Illegal Additions and Installations Revealed — If an extra room has been added without a permit or the garage has been altered, a certified electrician will be able to tell you that while inspecting the house.
  • Deal-Breakers During the Homebuying Process — Having a house inspected before buying it will let you know how much money, if any, needs to be put into it. Knowing if there is faulty wiring that needs to be replaced will help you know if you want to end your home-buying search.
  • Negotiating Tool to Use When Buying a House — If you have chosen a house to invest in, knowing what you know about the inspection and the report, you may be in a position to negotiate with the owners on a reduced price.

Matt and Wes did an outstanding job of not only replacing my entire Electrical Panel, they also were great guests, very polite and professional and even showed all my pets love to make it a peaceful visit! They were quick to fix everything, walked me through everything the did at the end and answered all my questions with ease. Even during the diagnosis, one of the owners came to my house to help assess what needed to be done and what would be the best option for me and my budget. Highly recommend ACS.

I was impressed by how responsive they were. I submitted a request form late at night and had a call from them first thing in the morning. Within the hour, they had arrived to provide an estimate. The work was completed less than 24 hours later. The service was timely, which is remarkable when so many service providers are booked months out. The crew was over-the-top kind, never mansplained to my wife (ha!), finished with their work quickly, and cleaned up thoroughly. We've had no issues with their installation, and would be likely to reach out to them for work again.

Excellent service and business! Lisa(?) was very helpful on the phone, and Tom was quick to come out and give us a reasonable quote for installing 4 ceiling fans and a few switches. Alex and Colby then did a great job with the installation. Very happy with the work! We'll be back in the future when we decide on some new light fixtures, and any other work that comes up!
